Fire Breaks Out At Magic Castle On Halloween
HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — An attic fire broke out Monday afternoon at the Magic Castle.
The fire broke out around noon on Halloween at 7001 W. Franklin Avenue in Hollywood, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Fire crews were sent to the scene at 12:35 p.m. and additional resources were called for around about 30 minutes later.
The fire was extinguished around 1:30 p.m.
Firefighters were able to save most of the building and its historic memorabilia. Sprinklers slowed the progress of the fire but contributed to some water damage, KNX 1070's Vytas Safroncikas reports.

No one was injured in the blaze.
Fire officials have not determined how the blaze began.
"The Magic Castle is the world's most famous club for magicians and magic enthusiasts and home to The Academy of Magical Arts, Inc.," the venues' website states.
The Magic Castle was scheduled to be open Monday night for Halloween but will now be closed due to the fire, according to their website.
Ironically, the castle promoted their Halloween-week activities as "Inferno at the Magic Castle."
The structure was built in 1908 as a home.
