High Winds Force SpaceX To Delay Rocket Escape Pod Test
CAPE CANAVERAL, FL (CBSLA) — SpaceX has scrubbed a launch that was supposed to "go bad."
The Hawthorne-based company was planning to launch a rocket that was going to simulate an inflight accident. The goal was to show how it's emergency escape pod would keep astronauts safe if a rocket had a problem during launch.
Saturday morning's test was scrubbed due to high winds.
They will try again Sunday morning at 6 a.m. Pacific time.
