ANAHEIM (CBS) — California Highway Patrol were pursuing two suspects in a possibly stolen vehicle in Orange County Tuesday night.
The chase began at about 8:20 p.m. when Laguna Beach police tried to get the driver to make a traffic stop on the 73 Freeway at the Toll Plaza. The driver raced up to speeds of 90 mph as he wove his way into the Costa Mesa (55) and Santa Ana (5) freeways.
At about 8:50 p.m. the suspects had already made their way to Anaheim and exited on Lincoln Avenue. Seconds later, a CHP officer used a PIT maneuver, ramming into the back of the suspects' vehicle, to force a stop.
The two suspects, both men, were taken into police custody.
