21 High School Football Players Suspended Over Hazing Claims In Chino Hills
CHINO HILLS (CBSLA.com) — School administrators in San Bernardino County Friday said 21 high school football players have been suspended due to hazing allegations.
The alleged incident involves players at Ayala High School in Chino Hills, the Chino Valley Unified School District said.
The Bulldogs traveled to St. George, Utah last week for an away game when the hazing reportedly occurred.
The incident, which occurred on Saturday, was reported by administrators who were on the trip with the team.
The number of victims, who were also on the team, and the details of the alleged acts were not released. No one was hospitalized.
Suspensions for the nearly two dozen players ranged one to five days.
The team has a bye this week and it was unclear if the suspensions would affect next week's game.
