Here Comes the 2nd Annual LA Food & Wine Festival
On August 9-12, 2012, Los Angeles will experience its second annual Los Angeles Food & Wine Festival. Here you will wine and dine with fellow tastemakers, celebrity chefs, and a plethora of top-notch winemakers while also benefiting St. Vincent Meals On Wheels. The four-day culinary festival is presented by FOOD & WINE magazine and provides locals and visitors unparalleled access to some of the food industry's most established and recognizable names, including Guy Fieri, Giada De Laurentiis, Graham Elliot, Michael Voltaggio, Duff Goldman, Michael Chiarello, and Scott Conant.
The weekend of epicurean delights kicks off tomorrow - Thursday, August 9, 2012 - with Giada's Festa Italiana at Nokia Plaza L.A. LIVE. The festivities continue on Friday, August 10, 2012 during the "Power Lunch Series" as the city's culinary elite welcome guest chefs to their fine dining establishments for a rare lunchtime service. You can go to downtown at Patina with Chef/Founder Joachim Splichal and Guest Chef Hubert Keller or join the Voltaggio brothers, Michael and Bryan, for a lunch at ink.
Friday night in DowntownLA at Nokia Plaza L.A. LIVE, Andrew Zimmern of Bizarre Foods celebrates Los Angeles' prominent Asian culture with Asian Night Market featuring local chefs as well as those from afar. Saturday's events include the first of two Lexus Grand Tastings, with more than 25 different celebrity chefs each day, including one of LA's newest residents, Duff Goldman, and more than 200 internationally acclaimed wines. Sunday is filled with cooking demos from the Voltaggio brothers and Top Chef-winner Richard Blais plus numerous other events.
