Help Fund Local Crime Stoppers TV Show Airing On KCAL9
STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Assist. Sheriff Todd Rogers, and Johnny Messner, the new host of "Crime Stoppers Southern California Case Files," stopped by KCAL9 Friday.
Rogers and Messner discussed the revamped TV show and their Kickstarter project.
"Crime Stoppers Southern California Case Files," a show about re-enacting unsolved stories of cold cases, narcotics activity, wanted fugitives, suspected terrorists and gang activity, airs Saturday nights at 11:30 p.m. on KCAL9.
The show has joined with the sheriff's and Los Angeles Police departments to create a Kickstarter campaign to reach as many funding sources as possible as they work to raise $82,000 to produce the 10 episodes.
Any funds above the cost of production will go toward the Crime Stopper organization that offers cash rewards for anonymous tips leading to the arrest and conviction of wanted suspects and criminals.
