Heavy Snow Prompts Closures Of LA County Roads
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich announced that due to snow accumulation on County roadways, the Department of Public Works will close the following roadways before 12 p.m. Monday:
- Angeles Forest Highway – Aliso Cyn. Road to SR-2 (Angeles Crest Highway)
- Upper Big Tujunga Cyn. Road – Angeles Forest Highway to SR-2 (Angeles Crest Highway)
- Big Tujunga Cyn. Road – Vogel Flats Road to Angeles Forest Highway
According to the Department of Public Works, the gates will be closed on Angeles Forest Highway at Aliso Canyon Road and SR-2 and both sides of Upper Big Tujunga.
County road crews are working on major roadways, which may be impacted by the weather, including Sierra Highway, Pearblossom Highway and Soledad Canyon Road.
