Head South For Halloween Fun at LEGOLAND or SeaWorld
Thinking of getting out of LA for some Halloween fun? Head south to San Diego for family friendly events at Legoland in Carlsbad and then continue on to San Diego for Seaworld.
LEGOLAND Brick or Treat & Party Nights
Where can you see the world's largest LEGO® jack-o-lantern - which is more than 7 feet wide, is made of 22,000 DUPLO® bricks and weighs 850 pounds? LEGOLAND® California during Halloween season, that's where! Held on Saturdays and Sundays in October, kids 12 and under can trick-or-treat at 7 stations along the Brick-or-Treat trail from 12:00 - 5:00 PM. The popular show "Mail Order Monsters" on the Courtyard Stage provides entertainment and some rest for the young costumed guests. SEA LIFE Aquarium, which is adjacent to LEGOLAND Park, is the scene of a Brick-or-Treat Trail Bonus station and a special storytelling from underwater that finishes with an underwater pumpkin carving.
Saturdays only, it's Brick or Treat Party Nights from 5:00 - 9:00 PM. The park is transformed into a not-too-spooky Halloween Party with family friendly activities like costume contests, dance contests, a pumpkin patch building event and nighttime trick-or-treating on one of two Brick-or-Treat Trails. There is also the opportunity to interact with LEGOLAND's "Boo Crew" and take in "Party Nights Only" acts around the park. The animated light show "Spirits of Halloween" takes place after sundown on the castle rooftop, and, new this year, the evening is capped off with fireworks at 9:00 PM.
Good to know before you go: All Brick-or-Treat and Party Nights festivities are included in the price of regular one-day admission to LEGOLAND California. Guests can pre-purchase Brick-or-Treat Hopper tickets online which include SEA LIFE for $55.00 and receive a complimentary second-day ticket valid through Dec. 25. Guests planning to attend Brick-or-Treat Party Nights only can purchase special hopper tickets exclusively available online for just $25.00.
