5 Students Hurt In Science-Related Blast At Watts High School
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Five students at a Watts high school were injured Tuesday after an apparent school science experiment went awry, authorities said.
An explosion at Animo Watts Charter High School at 12628 Avalon Blvd. was reported around 9:30 a.m., according to Los Angeles County Fire officials.
The blast prompted a partial evacuation of the school, officials said.
The victims suffered minor injuries, according to reports.
