Harbor City Man Arrested For Making Bomb Threats To Social Services Office
EL MONTE (CBS) — A Harbor City man was arrested after allegedly threatening to bomb a Los Angeles County social services office.
Jose Guillermo Zepeda Parra, 32, was taken into custody by El Monte police Tuesday. Police allege that Parra made threatening phone calls to the LA County Department of Public Social Services on Aug. 12 because he was upset about his benefits were being terminated.
Parra also made similar threats the previous day to DPSS employees, but they did not rise to the level of a criminal act, police said.
Parra was booked on criminal and bomb threat charges and is being held on $50,000 bail. He will be arraigned on Thursday.
