Happy Holidays! Mega Millions Jackpot At $145M
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Even if money is tight, just $1 could make it a very merry Christmas indeed.
The estimated jackpot for Tuesday's Mega Millions multi-state lottery is $145 million.
Friday was the 11th consecutive Mega Millions draw in which no ticket matched the correct five numbers and Mega number to claim the jackpot. Six tickets had five numbers, but not the Mega number, and those are worth $250,000 each.
The last jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Ohio for the Nov. 9 drawing. That game's jackpot was $25 million. Tuesday night's jackpot will be the largest since May, when a Pico Rivera couple won $266 million.
The Mega Millions game is played in 38 states and the District of Columbia.
