Handicapped Man Shot While Waiting In Line For 'Call Of Duty' Video Game
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A handicapped man in a wheelchair was shot early Tuesday morning while waiting in line for the new "Call Of Duty" video game in Koreatown.
The shooting happened around 1 a.m. near the intersection of Chateau Place and Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles police said.
The victim was waiting in line at the GameStop when he was confronted by a Hispanic man who fired several shots and fled, police said.
The victim, who is in his 20s, suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach.
He was taken to County USC Medical Center and is listed in stable condition.
Authorities are searching for the shooter. A motive for the crime is unclear.
