Handguns Stolen From HS Locker Room During LAPD, SDPD Football Game
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police confirm guns and badges were stolen from a high school locker room in Boyle Heights during an officers' charity football game.
A LAPD football team was playing officers from San Diego Saturday at Salesian High School when someone got into the locker room and rifled through the gym bags of the San Diego officers.
Detectives say three handguns were taken along with jewelry, watches and badges.
There was no sign of forced entry, leading detectives to think the locker room door was mistakenly left open.
The investigation is ongoing.
