Halloween Horror Nights at Universal
Universal Studios is the only So Cal Halloween event that takes place on a working studio lot. The location not only provides authentic Hollywood studio-quality experiences for those who dare to enter-- but it's also attracting true Hollywood talent, like a very scared Matthew Morrison from Glee, pictured above.
During Halloween Horror Nights 2011, Universal's most popular rides and attractions are open to guests, including, "Jurassic Park In The Dark," "The Simpsons Ride," and "Revenge of the Mummy—The Ride." This year, Universal Studios presents: six mazes, five terror-filled "Scare Zones", roaming Scare-Actors, shows and the fan favorite "Bill & Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure." To top it all off, there is a fully re-imagined "Terror Tram" backlot studio experience, which allows guests the unique chance to walk through the studio's historic movie sets.
For social media addicts, Universal Studios is definitely connecting with fans online this year. Creative Director John Murdy reveals a running chronicle of exclusive information to fans and followers. Follow John on Twitter or via Facebook.
What you need to know before you go: Halloween Horror Nights is for mature audiences only and is recommended for those over 13 years of age. Costumes and masks are not allowed. Traffic is scary close to the start of "Halloween Horror Nights", so get there early and take advantage of discounts at Citywalk venues when you show your HHN ticket.
