Hair Metal Rocker Jani Lane Found Dead In Valley Motel Room
WOODLAND HILLS (CBS) — Jani Lane, the former front man for hair metal rock band Warrant, was found dead in a Woodland Hills motel room, police said Friday.
The 47-year-old rock star was discovered in the room in the 20100 block of Ventura Boulevard, near Winnetka Avenue, about 5:30 p.m. on Thursay, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Lane was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of his death was unknown and coroner's officials were conducting an investigation into Lane's death.
Warrant became a nationally-recognized group after their 1990 hit single "Cherry Pie".
