Gun Recovered From Canoga Park High School, Teen Suspect Sought
CANOGA PARK (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles police were searching for a teenage suspect who brought a gun onto the campus of a San Fernando Valley high school.
Police received a report around 9:25 a.m. about a possible man with a gun at Canoga Park High School, 6850 Topanga Canyon Boulevard. The school was placed on lockdown as a result, officials said.
Officers were sent to campus where they did recover a firearm from an unknown location on the school grounds.
Authorities believe the suspect may be a student. He is described only as a male between the ages of 16 and 18 years old.
No injuries were reported.
