Guide To The Red Carpet Season
Red Carpet Season officially kicked-off this weekend in Los Angeles as the 71st annual Golden Globes came to town with a huge blow-out event at the iconic Beverly Hills Hilton. Award season is such a significant part of this town's history and culture combining the right mixture of glitz, glam and celebrity without overdoing it too much. Then again, this is the entertainment capital of the world, so maybe it is a wee bit over the top for some. But, it is fun nonetheless.
For the next few weeks, grand events will celebrate the different entertainment awards spanning all across LA. From highly coveted invites to celebrity gifting suites like the HBO Luxury Lounge and the AFI Awards luncheon, to the BAFTA Awards Season Tea Party all being held at the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. GRAMMY Week is packed with events like Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy bash that honor the biggest names in musical show business and the 2014 MusiCares Person of the Year Gala. Finally, we cannot forget about the Hollywood award that trumps all other awards in this town, The Academy Awards.
Here is a guide to a few places you may want to frequent while in town celebrating.

The newly launched Cavatina restaurant inside the Sunset Marquis might very well be the best kept secret in West Hollywood right now. The restaurant is being lead by superstar award-winning Chef/Restauranteur Michael Schlow and Executive Chef Roger Eggleston who have planned a menu featuring "interesting yet uncomplicated dishes." Must-try: Cauliflower Panna Cotta with Lobster and Caviar.

There is something very special about Chateau Marmont especially when you spend a few nights there. Regardless if you happen to stay in a room, suite or bungalow, the serenity and the privacy are wonderful. However, it happens to be the things that are not discussed that make the property so exciting. Known as the home away from home for many rock stars and A-list movie stars, celebrities have been retreating to Chateau Marmont because of the anonymity for over half a century.

"A cozy rendezvous inspired by early Hollywood, The Tower Bar and Restaurant offers an elegant haven for the discerning." Housed in Bugsy Siegel's old apartment, the hotel lounge is the epitome of what Hollywood once was and everything it should be. "An elegant safe haven for the players," says owner Jeff Klein, "where a duchess can be a devil, and a celebrity can dine with his family one night and his mistress the next."
