Guide To Disneyland's 'Season Of The Force' Star Wars Celebration

Star Wars fans rejoiced at the 2015 announcement for Star Wars Land, slated to hit Disneyland park in the not-so-far-away future. And although anticipation for that epic expansion is great, fans of the iconic sci-fi series don't have to wait years to get their Star Wars fix at the park. Opening November 16, and running for a limited time (no end date has yet been announced), "Season of the Force" will celebrate everything Star Wars with a themed takeover of Tomorrowland.

Tickets, Parking, and General Information

"Season of the Force," opening November 16, 2015, is included with daily park admission. Current single-day ticket prices start at $99 for one-day, single park admission for adults ($93 for children 3-9), and do not include parking ($18). Multiple-day tickets provide the best value.

Attractions

Star Wars Launch Bay

Star Wars nerds who will take the time to explore the intricacies of the detailed exhibits.
The central hub for all things Star Wars, the Star Wars Launch Bay, located in the Tomorrowland Expo Center (formally named Innovations), boasts a wide variety of encounters for fans. Interactive video games, galleries full of drool-worthy memorabilia and large-scale replicas of Star Wars artifacts, a Star Wars-themed cantina, and access to unique and hard-to-find Star Wars merchandise provide a hands-on museum type feel, while special character encounters will provide guests with the rare chance to meet with some of the film series' most iconic characters, including Dark Vader and Chewbacca.
 

Hyperspace Mountain

Thrill seekers seeking a nostalgic twist on both Disneyland and Star Wars
As part of the celebration, the iconic Space Mountain ride has been reimagined as a thrilling battle between Rebel X-wings and Imperial TIE fighters. Utilizing projection, lighting effects, and a new soundtrack inspired by the films' musical themes, the ride places park guests in the middle of an epic battle for the good of the galaxy. FASTPASS will be available for this attraction.
 

Star Tours –The Adventure Continues

Star Tours, the park's original collaboration with the Star Wars universe, will also get an update for the "Season of the Force" event. The ride, which takes passengers on-board Star Speeders to remote locations across the Star Wars universe, will now include a stop on the desert planet of Jakku, a location that is featured prominently in the upcoming and highly-anticipated release of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." FASTPASS will be available for this attraction (located next to the entrance to Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters).
 

Star Wars: Path of the Jedi

Located in the Tomorrowland Theater (former home of Captain EO), Star Wars: Path of the Jedi is a short-film compilation that relives the stories from the Star Wars saga, connecting iconic scenes from the series of films in a way that even newcomers to the series can understand. The film also boasts scenes from "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," to the delight of fans. The film will run in a continuous loop throughout operating hours.
 

Jedi Training: Trails of the Temple

The popular, interactive Star Wars show is being reimagined for a new generation of fans. In addition to the return of Darth Vadar as a villain that young Padawans must defeat, the Seventh Sister Inquisitor, a new villain from the Disney XD series Star Wars Rebels, will also join the battle. Final details for this show have yet to be finalized, but the interactive attraction is receiving a complete refurbishment. Note: this attraction is set to open December 8, 2015.

Popcorn Buckets & More

Available at carts throughout the land, don't miss purchasing TIE fighter Popcorn buckets and Darth Vader cotton candy holders in addition to themed souvenir sippers, beverage containers, and more.
 
 
 

Galactic Grill

The Tomorrowland Terrace restaurant has transformed into a newly redesigned "Galactic Grill" serving up food inspired by the series including: first order specialty burgers (Angus beef and chorizo patty, cherry peppers, and spicy lime aioli on a dark bun); Jedi order grilled chicken sandwiches; cheese-3PO burgers, Wicket's Wicked veggie sandwich; and an assortment of kid's meals. The pastry menace, darth by chocolate, and BB-8 Droid crisped rice treats are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth as well. The light side and the dark side lemonade beverages come with souvenir light-up Millennium Falcons and Death Stars respectively.

 
 

Pizza Port

Pizza Port, located adjacent to Hyperspace Mountain, will also boast Star Wars inspired menu items including a Dark Side Chicken Curry Pizza.

"Season Of The Force" Shopping

Fans of the Star Wars saga now have two themed stores to explore for a variety of purchases. At Star Wars Launch Bay Cargo, fans can bring home high-end artifacts, signed memorabilia, studio models, and even make personalized D-Tech on demand mobile device cases. The Star Trader, located at the exit of Star Tours, boasts an expansive collection of Star Wars-themed items including a wide range of apparel options for babies to adults, plush items and toys, and build-your-own lightsabers.
