Here is his take on the Grammy red carpet looks.
Best
"The two biggest trends I think to emerge tonight were metallics for women. It was like it couldn't be shiny enough and it was gold, which is a color that's kind of hard to wear on a lot of skin tones and there was tonne of it. It was everywhere for women. For girls, it couldn't be short enough. So even if the dress was long in the back, it was short in the front because everyone wanted to show off their legs."
Heidi Klum
"She wore this amazing metallic beaded Julien MacDonald dress and it had this really beautiful shoulder detail. The dress had sleeves but the shoulders were exposed and you know it's Heidi Klum so her body is slammin'. It was slit up the front and it showed every single curve. The woman's got like 12 kids and the body is still insane."
Jennifer Hudson
"I loved Jennifer Hudson's dress. I mean Jennifer Hudson has lost a tonne of weight and it's one beautiful dress after the next, after the next. It's like she's making up for lost time. I mean that Versace Dress, it couldn't have been barer. It was really like she showed that newly skinny body off to best advantage. It was sexy, without a doubt, sexy."
Selena Gomez
"She was wearing this beautiful, bias cut, goddess gown. It was a very simple dress. Her hair was beautiful. Those dark waves cascading over her shoulders and it was like the perfect pretty dress for a perfect pretty girl. And I loved that her clutch matched her bag exactly."
J-Lo
"I loved what J-Lo was wearing. It was soft sexy hair. It was big metallic rings on both hands and then the dress, couldn't have been low enough in the front and couldn't have been short enough and she showed off why she is J-Lo. The body was insane. She wasn't singing. She was just presenting but she came there and she was like, I am Lopez. I am J-Lo, damn it."
Adam Lambert
"The other big trend for men was the shawl collared blazer. Adam Lambert got it so right. He wore a shawl collared blazer and the shawl collar itself was actually snakeskin so it had a bit of shine and sheen to it. He kept it simple but went for that little bit of pop."
Worst
"There were so many worst dressed this year, it's hard to pick just one so I'm going to go off of the top of my head."
Lady Gaga
"Lady Gaga is perennially `worst dressed'. She thinks she's Avant Garde but most of the stuff ends up looking like what it is, it's made by a group of grade-school kids that nobody liked - the behind-the-scenes kids in the school play that didn't get to perform. I didn't understand the egg. I get it, it's in utero. I mean can you imagine being an actor or a model and this is the gig you get? It was just ridiculous."
Nicki Minaj
"Tying neck-and-neck with Lady Gaga in ridiculous is Nicki Minaj. I happen to love Nicky Menage but this leopard print nightmare which I couldn't believe again - it was by Givenchy - it was like Cruella de Vil. It was like leopard print Cruella de Vil and then she tops it off with this blonde, frizzy afro with black accents in it and it just looked ridiculous. It was like Cruella de Vil meets the Bride of Frankenstein meets the only taste she has is in her mouth."
Janelle Monae
"One of my favorite acts who had a breakthrough tonight is Janelle Monae. She shows up in a way a perfect outfit. She loves the menswear inspired tuxedo. This tuxedo, the blazer was all sequined but then she puts on this weird Colonel Sanders like string ribbon tie with the whole thing and it just looks crazy. Like the tie is so stupid that it distracted away from everything that was good about this YSL inspired tuxedo. It made no sense."
Ricky Martin
"Speaking of egregious pant-boot tucking. Ricky Martin shows up in like four pieces that make no sense together. So it is a shawl-collared tuxedo blazer, which he's wearing with a white shirt with a weird collar, which he's wearing with a skinny tie that looked like it was deformed which he put a tie clip on out of no where cause it made no sense anyway and then he puts on girl's metallic sliver jeans which I can only think he bought from Wet Seal. And then on top of all of that, and I mean he wedged himself into those jeans - and Ricky is not a skinny boy. And then on top of all of that, he stuffs that silver metallic jean into a boot, a lace up boot. It was one of the craziest looks I'd ever seen. It was like, Ricky Martin's a girl on the bottom."
Lenny Kravtiz
"It was a bad night for the men at the Grammy's. And I don't understand why the men can't get it right. Lenny Kravitz always looks like he stinks. There is no exception. He turned up in this like black leather, captain-cave-man-looking (pause) I guess I could call it a jacket? But it was like, pelt. So it really looked like he'd knocked something over its head, skinned it and put it on and walked the read carpet."
Iconic
"I have two people that I think are icons."
Rihanna
"I hate Rihanna's red hair with a passion I can only describe as religious but tonight she had this gorgeous red bob. It was toned down. The make-up was on point and Rihanna has a body that is non-stop. She has got the most luscious curves in the music business. So I liked the dress in theory. It was Jean Paul Gauthier, right off the run way. It literally seemed like she ripped it off the back of a model and put it on and ran here. It wasn't fur and I still can't get a beat on what this dress was but it was sort of like streamers. Remember when you were little and you went to a birthday party and there were streamers. It was like plastic streamers. I don't think that the dress was fur. I do think that the dress might have been made in a test tube somewhere."
Katy Perry
"Katy Perry shows up in that beautiful Armani dress he made specifically for her. It's iridescent tulle. It looks pink. It looks blue. It's got a long train. It's got Swarovski crystals at the bodice and she brings her grandmother who is also wearing Armani. It was gorgeous and sweet and funny and when she kissed Russell Brand, on the red carpet, I was like, aw, they're in love."
