Gordon's Glove Saves Dodgers In Arizona
(CBS) -- For the second time in four games, the Los Angeles Dodgers scored six runs or more, scoring seven on Friday night to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-4.
The Dodgers jumped all over Arizona starter Josh Collmenter in the third inning, scoring six times and sending 10 men to the plate.
Arizona had a great opportunity in the seventh inning, down 6-3 with the bases loaded, Justin Upton had a possible base clearing hit taken away on a fantastic diving catch by Dee Gordon, stopping the rally.
Chad Billingsley (10-9) pitched six innings, allowing three runs.
Javy Guerra got the final out in the eighth inning and retired Arizona in the ninth inning to pick up his 10th save on 10 tries.
Arizona stayed a half game behind San Francisco in the NL West, and the Dodgers pulled to 10 games back.
