Good Samaritan Fatally Shot In Liquor Store Robbery In Paramount
PARAMOUNT (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a manhunt has expanded for three men wanted in connection with a deadly robbery in Paramount.
The incident unfolded at a liquor store in the 8000 block of Somerset Boulevard about 4 p.m. Monday.
Detectives say two suspects had entered the side door of the store and attempted to steal liquor when they were confronted by an employee.
According to authorities, a good Samaritan helped the employee fight off the suspects.
Police said that's when a third suspect walked in and shot the employee and the good Samaritan multiple times.
The good Samaritan was pronounced dead at the scene. The employee remains in critical condition at a hospital.
