Businesswoman Fatally Shot Outside Condo In Quiet Montrose
MONTROSE (CBSLA.com) — A woman in her 60s was found shot in Montrose Tuesday night, homicide detectives said.
Hye Soon Oh, 67, of Glendale, was found in the carport area of her condo at about 8:40 p.m. in the 2900 block of Montrose Avenue, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She died at a local hospital.
Investigators were searching for a shooter, who witnesses described as possibly a black male who ran from the scene and fled in a vehicle eastbound on Montrose Avenue.
Detectives believe Oh's killing was an attempted robbery and she was follwed
Oh lives in the condo with her husband and their daughter, according to her neighbor Kevin Yon. He said the couple owns a sports merchandise store in Lynwood.
"I see them putting clothing in the garage," Yon said, who added that the couple also tends to bring home all their cash from the day's business.
Oh's husband had returned home just minutes after the shooting and arrived as police and paramedics were tending to his wife.
