Glendale Elementary School Evacuated After Bomb Threat
GLENDALE (CBSLA.com) — A San Fernando Valley elementary school was evacuated Monday morning after a bomb threat was called in, authorities said.
Police received a call around 8:30 a.m. from RD White Elementary School, 744 East Doran Street, in Glendale stating a bomb threat has been made to the campus, Sgt. Tom Lorenz of the Glendale Police Department said.
All 880 students and staff were safely evacuated from school grounds and stationed in a nearby Whole Foods store parking lot.
A preliminary search of the campus was conducted by police and fire departments, but nothing suspicious was found.
No injuries were reported.
Monday marked the first day back to school for Glendale Unified School District following winter break.
