'Glamour' Feeling The Squeeze From Amy Schumer For Calling Her Plus-Size

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Amy Schumer is not pleased about being called plus-size by Glamour.

The magazine listed the comedienne's name alongside singer Adele, model Ashley Graham and actress Melissa McCarthy as one of the "women that inspire us."  It was part of the magazine's plus-size bonus issue sponsored by Lane Bryant.

The "Trainwreck" star took to Instagram to lash out at the publication for mislabeling her.

She wrote: "I think there's nothing wrong with being plus size. Beautiful healthy women. Plus size is considered size 16 in America. I go between a size 6 and an 8."

Schumer added putting her in the plus-size category without asking her is not right.

A rep for Schumer said she was unavailable for comment. But she did tweet a video of her flying a kite in a bikini on a beach.

Glamour released in this statement, "First off, we love Amy, and our readers do too -- which is why we featured her on the cover of Glamour last year. The cover line on this special edition -- which is aimed at women size 12 and up -- simply says 'Women Who Inspire Us,' since we believe her passionate and vocal message of body positivity IS inspiring, as is the message of the many other women, of all sizes, featured. The edition did not describe her as plus-size. We are sorry if we offended her in any way."
