George Harrison's Guitar, John Lennon's Bath Robe Listed At Julien's Music Icons Auction
NEW YORK CITY (CBSLA.com) — Julien's Auctions has announced the return of their highly-anticipated Music Icons Auction, giving fans the opportunity to own memorabilia once used by rock-and-roll royalty.
George Harrison's guitar, Frank Sinatra's address book and John Lennon's bath robe are among the coveted items up for bidding.
Harrison used the '63 Mastersound electric guitar in the summer of 1963 while loaning it from Barratt's Music Store in Manchester, England. It's valued between $600,000 and $800,000.
The auction also includes Lady Gaga's face mask and leather corset, Eric Clapton's guitar, a Frank Zappa painting and two guitars that once belonged to former KISS band member Vinnie Vincent.
Fans and collectors will have the opportunity to view many of the auction's items during a limited-engagement exhibit at The Hard Rock Cafe New York, running from May 12 through May 16. The auction will be held in two parts on May 15 and 16.
Those who wish to bid must register in person, either at the exhibit or the auction, or online at JuliensAuctions.com. To bid by phone call (310) 836-1818.
