Gas Prices Spike To Highest Level Since Summer Of 2013

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Wednesday to its highest amount since last summer, according to industry officials.

Data from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service shows gas prices have increased 1 cent to $4.14, 6.3 cents more than one week ago, 16.6 cents higher than one month ago and 9.1 cents above what it was one year ago.

The average price of gas in Orange County was also up, jumping six-tenths of a cent to $4.12, its highest amount since June 23.
