'CSI' Actor Gary Sinise Named Grand Marshal Of 2018 Rose Parade
PASADENA (CBSLA/AP) - Actor Gary Sinise was named Monday as the Grand Marshal of the 2018 Rose Bowl game and parade.
The star of "CSI: NY" and "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" will ride in the 129th Rose Parade and participate in the pre-game celebration at the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the 104th Rose Bowl Game.
Both events are scheduled for Jan. 1, 2018.
Among signature roles, Sinise played Lt. Dan Taylor in the 1994 film "Forrest Gump."
In thanking the Tournament of Roses for the grand marshal honor he recalled the movie's famous line, saying, "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get."
