Fundraiser Held For Football Player With Rare Form Of Cancer
RIVERSIDE (CBS) — The Patriot High School community is teaming up to support a football player diagnosed with cancer.
Fifteen-year-old freshman Marcus French played the entire football season, scoring 17 touchdowns, before he knew he had been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in his jaw.
Marcus' teammates helped raise $3,000 in one hour to help with medical expenses. The school's baseball team is hosting a golf fundraiser Monday to raise more money to help Marcus and his family.
