Fumbling Gunman Sought In 7-Eleven Holdup
MISSION VIEJO (CBS) — Orange County sheriff's deputies were searching for a disorganized robber Tuesday who pulled a gun on a drugstore clerk.
The man walked into the 7-Eleven store at 23012 Los Alisos Blvd. in Mission Viejo on Feb. 14, grabbed a bottle of water and put it on the counter, Orange County sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino said.
He rummaged through his backpack to find money to pay for the water, then left the backpack on the counter for a moment, before sifting through it again, Amormino said.
The reportedly suspect pulled a pistol out of his pocket, pointed it at the clerk and demanded cash. As the clerk gave him the money, the suspect asked for a couple of cartons of cigarettes, Amormino said.
The suspect is white, about 5 feet 7 inches and 150 pounds, Amormino said.
If you have any information, you were urged to contact the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
