Green Cars Are Red Hot At OC Auto Show
ANAHEIM (CBS) — Get revved up at the Orange County Auto Show, which opens today, displaying 2011's hottest cars, trucks, sport utility vehicles and alternative fuel vehicles.
The main event of this show will be green driving – 100 percent electric, hybrid and fuel-efficient super compact gas vehicles will dominate the show, which is taking over the Anaheim Convention Center until Sunday.
The all-new 100 percent electric Nissan LEAF will be introduced to the public at the show. Drivers looking to be greener can also check out the plug-in Chevrolet Volt and the hydrogen fuel cell Honda FCX Clarity. Test drives will be available for the Nissan LEAF as well as from Toyota, Chevrolet, Buick, GMC.
But traditional car show candy will also be on hand – the all-new Ferrari 458 Italia will be on display, along with the latest from Lamborghini, Maserati and more. The 2011 Ford Explorer will also debut, and the pre-production model of the 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 will also be on shown.
The show opens to the public at 4 p.m. on opening day. A coupon for $2 off admission is available for Thursday and Friday tickets.
