Frank McCourt Blocking Efforts Of Bringing NFL Back To Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES - (CBSLA.com) Sources from the NFL have told CBS2/KCAL9's Jim Hill that while Chavez Ravine is a terrific location, Frank McCourt's involvement with any deal to bring an NFL team could be too controversial, giving a huge blow in efforts of bringing back pro football to Los Angeles.
This is a day after a judge ruled Wednesday the Dodgers owners, Guggenheim Partners, need to reveal financial arrangements with the former owner McCourt.
According to a report, court filings in the case include financial arrangements with data about how Guggenheim and McCourt will share profits from a joint investment venture.
McCourt sold the Dodgers to Guggenheim in March of 2011 for a record of $2-billion.
However, McCourt kept stakes in the stadium parking lot for any future development after sale was approved by the court.
