Four Takeaways From Week 15
With only one more game left in Week 15 on Monday Night, lots of surprises happened on Sunday in the NFL. Some good, some bad, and some expected. Let's take a look at the good, the bad and the ugly of Week 15. Here are the four takeaways you need to know from Sunday.
1. Johnny Football Failed To Show Up
Despite all the hype and all the talk from the media and from Manziel himself, Johnny failed to show up on Sunday. The Browns were blown out and put up a big goose egg in their 30-0 loss to their in-state rival, the Cincinnati Bengals. Manziel finished 10-18 with 80 yards and two interceptions. A 27.3 RTG is the last thing the Browns wanted to see from their future franchise QB.
2. Odell Beckham Jr. Is Silly
A three touchdown day for OBJ and we will see plenty more of these in his career. Beckham Jr. finished with 12 receptions for 143 yards which brings his total on the year to 829 receiving yards, despite missing four games early this season. OBJ is making a strong case for rookie of the year, maybe MVP of the league and of his team and it doesn't look like anyone or any team will be stopping him soon.
3. The Packers Are Beatable
The Pack were riding a five game winning streak into Buffalo and were hoping to secure a 6th win and first-place in the NFC North. Aaron Rodgers threw two costly interceptions and the Bills stunned the Packers at Ralph Wilson Stadium 21-13. The win propels the Bills to 8-6 and keeps their playoff hopes alive for one more week.
4. The New England Patriots Clinch 6th Straight AFC East Title
The Patriots handled the Dolphins 41-13 in Foxboro on Sunday and in doing so clinched their sixth straight AFC East title, which also made sure that there would be football in January for Tom Brady and Co. The Patriots are scary and I don't think anyone in their right mind would want to face them right now.
