Former USC Football Player Faces Charges Of Carjacking Robberies
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Former USC tight end Bryce Dixon faced charges Thursday in a series of carjacking robberies.
Dixon, 19, was arrested Tuesday on Van Ness Avenue in South Los Angeles for an incident on Exposition Boulevard, about a half mile from campus, according to the Daily News' Inside USC.
Dixon was expelled from USC in May following allegations of sexual misconduct with a female USC student, who was an athletic trainer, according to the Los Angeles Times.
After a judge put the expulsion on hold, Dixon was allowed to re-enroll at the university, but not allowed to rejoin the football team, the Times reported.
Dixon caught 14 passes for 198 yards and four touchdowns in 2014.
He was no longer in custody after apparently posting $100,000 bail, according to sheriff's inmate records.
