Former LAPD Chief Bratton In Talks To Be UK Riot Advisor
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — British Prime Minister David Cameron is calling on former LAPD chief William Bratton to help with the devastating riots in London.
Bratton confirmed Friday that he is in talks with the British government to become consultant to Scotland Yard.
Bratton, who received a call from Cameron himself, says he loves London and has worked with British police for years.
He says he is working to formalize an agreement.
Bratton left the LAPD two years ago.
He's currently an executive at a private security firm.
