Former Employee, Alleged Ex-Girlfriend Sues Donald Sterling For Discrimination, Retaliation
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A woman claiming to have been in a relationship with Donald Sterling is suing the embattled Clippers owner after she says she was fired for protesting to "a steady stream of racially and sexually offensive comments."
Maiko Maya King, a former employee who says the two were involved romantically between 2005 and 2011, filed a lawsuit with Los Angeles Superior Court, claiming discrimination, retaliation, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In her complaint, King says her "resistance to Mr. Sterling's stream of racist and sexist taunts caused him to retaliate against her by terminating her employment."

King, who was reportedly married with two children at the time she says she met Sterling in 2005, is represented by Gloria Allred. King says that Sterling encouraged her to leave her husband to go work for him.
Throughout their alleged relationship, King, in her lawsuit complaint, says that they often argued about his racist views, not unlike the conversation heard on the audio tapes, recorded by V. Stiviano, which led to the banishment of Sterling from the NBA by commissioner Adam Silver.
The complaint also alleges that Sterling, "dangled money only if she would have sex with him".
Sterling's attorney, Max Blecher, tells the Los Angeles Times that the allegations against his clients are "baseless".
