Food Truck Rolls Into LA Serving Up Churros With A Twist

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A new food truck has been traveling down the streets of Los Angeles serving up a sweet treat with a twist.

Ridges Churro Bar is the creation of husband and wife team James and Nancy Phan.

It was established in 2015.

The Phans met in high school, according to the company's website, and both have pursued their own careers. Nancy with a fashion and graphics design background and James with a major in business.

Their site explains the Ridges Churro Bar wasn't their first venture, but "the two fell in love with the dessert business and decided this was what they wanted to pursue."

It's no surprise then, judging by its name, that the food truck serves churros, but these sweet treats are coated with all sorts of options from cinnamon sugar to salted caramel and even Fruity Pebbles.

Other flavors include strawberry shortcake and Nutella nut.

And if you want to try the treats, the food truck will be in downtown L.A. this Sunday (April 17).
