Flower Mall Florists Gear Up For Valentine's Day Rush
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — If you're running a little behind this Valentine's Day, it's not too late to pick up some gorgeous flowers for your significant other.
Flower Mall florists are gearing up for the holiday petal push, which is expected to bring thousands of shoppers to downtown Los Angeles.
Vendors stayed up all night arranging flowers for the second busiest day of the year. They are hoping to cash in on consumers, who are expected to spend eight percent more this year.
Hilva Jimenez of the California Flower Mall says shoppers there can expect to save up to 70 percent Tuesday.
"Roses, right now, this morning, they actually dropped a little bit from a few days ago," Jimenez told CBS2. "A few days ago, you could get 25 roses for $25 and now they're down to anywhere from $21 to $22, so the savings just keep on getting better here."
The flower mall also has tulips and tuberoses, among several other flowers.
