Firefighters Wrangle 5-Foot Snake In South Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A 5-foot snake that startled a woman in South Los Angeles has been captured.
The woman called 911 after seeing the snake in the strip of grass between the sidewalk and West 46th Street, between Denker and Halldale avenues, according to a news crew.
A Los Angeles firefighter said the snake looked like a boa constrictor, but it was unclear what species it was.
Three firefighters coaxed the snake into a five-gallon bucket, as the crew's captain kept his distance. The snake will be turned over to L.A. Animal Services.
