Firefighters Knock Down Packing House Fire In Oxnard
OXNARD (AP) — Dozens of firefighters took five hours to extinguish a blaze engulfing a three-story Oxnard lemon pack house.
The Ventura Pacific Co. packinghouse blaze in the La Colonia area was reported Friday around 1 a.m. and 46 firefighters from the Oxnard, Ventura County and Santa Paula fire departments responded. It was extinguished at 6 a.m.
The Ventura County Star says no one is hurt and the damage amount hasn't been calculated.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
