Firefighters Respond To Explosion At Underground Vault In Koreatown
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Firefighters Saturday responded to Koreatown following reports of a loud noise and light smoke coming from an underground vault.
The incident at 808 S. Western Avenue and W. 8th Street was reported just after 9 a.m., according to authorities.
Traffic in the area is reportedly being restricted while authorities investigate, tweeted Matt Spence of the LAFD.
The Department of Water and Power confirmed to CBS2 that there was in fact an explosion.
No injuries were reported.
