Firefighters Battle Small Brush Fire In East LA
EAST LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The Los Angeles County Fire Department said a small brush fire burned nearly six acres of an East Los Angeles-area hillside near the county fire headquarters Tuesday.
No building damage or injuries were reported.
The fire, near Eastern Avenue and Sheriff Road, broke out about 12:30 p.m., according to County Fire Inspector Don Kunitomi.
Three water-dropping helicopters and about 200 firefighters were assigned to the blaze, he said.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
