Firefighters Battle Blazes At 2 Commercial Buildings
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Firefighters battled two large blazes at commercial buildings Monday morning.
The first fire broke out around 8 a.m. at 16202 S. Orange Avenue in Paramount. The fire began on the building's roof and caused $6 million in damage.
It was extinguished before the fire spread to any additional structures, Los Angeles Fire Department officials said.
A second blaze began also began around 8 a.m. at a building at 1839 West Gage Avenue near the Chesterfield Square area. The fire was put out in 45 minutes, officials said.
No one was injured in either fire.
It is unknown how the fires began or if they are connected.
