Firefighters Battle 6-Story Apartment Fire In Koreatown

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles firefighters have extinguished a blaze at the top of a six-story apartment building.

Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey says there are no injuries but all residents will be displaced.

The fire erupted at midmorning Friday and it took 152 firefighters about an hour to put it out.

Humphrey says the bulk of the fire was in the common attic and there is also water damage.

Firefighters are trying to determine how many people lived the building and will need to be sheltered by the Red Cross.
