Firefighters Battle 2 Wildfires East Of Temecula
TEMECULA (CBS) — Two wildfires broke out Monday, blackening more than 25 acres east of Temecula, according to Riverside County fire officials.
The first blaze was reported at 12:12 p.m. near Wayman Way and San Ignacio Road and consumed five to 10 acres of vegetation, according to Cal Fire's Jody Hagemann.
The second fire broke out about a half-mile away between San Ignacio Road and Avenida Peyri. It burned about 20 acres and was moving at a moderate rate, she said.
More than four dozen firefighters were dispatched, along with four air tankers, a water-dropping helicopter, two bulldozers and two water tenders.
