Firefighter Injured While Battling Blaze At Wendy's Restaurant
LANCASTER (CBS) — A fire broke out at a Wendy's in Lancaster, engulfing the entire restaurant until firefighters could get it under control Tuesday night.
Emergency dispatchers received a call at 4:47 p.m. after the fire ignited at 45101 10th Street West in Lancaster.
One firefighter was slightly injured while trying to put out the blaze and he was taken to a hospital.
Officials reported that a gas tank explosion caused the fire.
Firefighters were dumping a significant amount of water on the fire, as plumes of smoke rose above the spot in Lancaster. The structure appeared to be gutted by the flames.
