Fire Damages 5 Businesses At El Monte Strip Mall
EL MONTE (CBS) — A fire damaged five businesses at a strip mall in El Monte Monday morning.
Firefighters sent to 11725 Garvey Ave. at 11:40 a.m extinguished the flames in about a half-hour, according to Inspector Matt Levesque of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The cause of the fire, which burned through the roof of the building, was under investigation.
A damage estimate was not immediately available.
