No Structures Damaged In Small Palisades Brush Fire
PACIFIC PALISADES (CBS) — Flames blackened about one acre of brush Thursday on a hillside along Pacific Coast Highway near Pacific Palisades, but fire crews quickly doused the blaze without any injures or structural damage.
The fire was reported just after noon in the 15100 block of West Pacific Coast Highway and was knocked down in about an hour, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said.
One home was initially threatened by the flames, but no evacuations were ordered and the fire was doused without any damage, he said.
About 60 firefighters and three helicopter crews battled the blaze, Humphrey said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
