Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck On 710 Freeway In South LA
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A female pedestrian was hit and killed Thursday morning on the 710 Freeway in South LA.
The California Highway Patrol received a call around 12:35 a.m. about a woman walking on the right shoulder of the I-710 northbound, near the 405 Freeway.
When the CHP arrived on scene, they witnessed the woman dart across "the northbound lanes of I-710, and traversed the center divider wall into the southbound lanes of I-710," officials said in a statement.
She was then struck by a silver Toyota Corolla. The pedestrian died on scene due to blunt force injuries.
The driver of the Toyota was not injured or arrested.
