Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Pickup Truck In Anaheim
ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — A female pedestrian was fatally struck by a pickup truck while crossing a street in Anaheim, according to the Coroner's Office.
Authorities said the woman -- who was not in a crosswalk -- was struck by the pickup truck about 8:15 p.m. Friday.
The accident occurred on South Beach Boulevard at Stonybrook Drive.
Anaheim Police Sgt. Bob Dunn said the unidentified driver was going northbound on Beach Boulevard when he struck the woman.
The woman was declared deceased at the scene, Dunn said.
Dunn said the driver remained at the scene but did not know if he was cited.
The name of the woman was withheld pending notification of her family.
