Federal Weapons Charges Filed Against Stow Beating Suspects
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Federal weapons charges have been filed against two men suspected in the beating of a San Francisco Giants fan at Dodger Stadium last year, prosecutors said Tuesday.
The complaint against Louie Sanchez and Marvin Norwood charges both with being a felon in possession of firearms, according to Thom Mrozek, spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office.
The men have already been charged in state court with mayhem, assault by means likely to produce great bodily injury and battery with serious bodily injury in connection with the parking-lot beating of Northern California paramedic Bryan Stow after the Dodgers' home opener last year. Both pleaded not guilty and face a preliminary hearing May 30.
